DineSmart doesn’t collect personal information. There’s no account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.

Your location

If you allow it, your location centres the map and sorts places by distance. It’s used only on your phone and is never sent anywhere.

Saved places and notifications

The places you save, and which results you’ve seen, are stored only on your phone. Notifications about saved places are created on your phone too; there’s no notification server.

Inspection data

The app downloads the City of Toronto’s inspection results from our server. The request contains nothing about you. Like any web request, it includes your IP address, which our hosting provider may log briefly to keep the service running. We don’t use it to identify you or share it with anyone.

Children

DineSmart doesn’t knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
